A Little Bit Tarty

...a little bit tarty... all began because I couldn't find "tarts" (aka melts) that lasted at a reasonable price so I decided to make my own. You can be sure when you purchase our products you are getting exactly what I would want for myself.

Early in 2008 we began making our "wax tarts" with natural soy wax. I had been reluctant at first to try soy as I constantly received very conflicting information about which soy was best and why I should even bother changing. It was a true labour of love, very late nights researching and testing different brands of Soy wax and other natural waxes. The more I researched and tested the more I came to understand that all the conflicting info was correct as no 2 soy waxes seem to perform the same way. I also discovered that some companies actually use parrafin or synthetics fillers in their soy wax which kind of defeats the purpose of using "natural wax". So after much trial and testing I found a beautiful soy wax that is 100% natural with no hidden nasty stuff and it really does perform as well as I had hoped.

...a little bit tarty... is based at Woody Point and our products can be found at The Eumundi Markets or Online. Our store at Eumundi is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-1.30pm

Wherever possible we use local and Australian companies to provide us with all our supplies.

I love every minute of making my product and it is such a joy to share it with you. I hope you love your "soy tarts" and candles as much as I love making them.

BellaBee Candles

BellaBee Candle Designz was created in late 2006 after I was not able to find an affordable custom designed candle that was suitable for my Daughter Ayva's Naming Ceremony.

The celebrant that officiated the ceremony was so impressed with the design and quality that she had 4 candles designed for her ceremonies the following weekend. Going on 4 years later I am still supplying personalised keepsake candles to Nikole for her clients along with other celebrants and retail outlets throughout Sydney and NSW.

Originally from a Hairdressing background creativity, attention to detail and superior customer service is what I pride myself on and it is carried through in the quality of work and the personalised service that you will receive when dealing with BellaBee Candle Designz.

My Name is Belinda Burke and I look forward to working with you designing Personalised Keepsake Candles for your special occasion.

PA on the Go

Hi I am Diana Holwerda and Director of PA On the Go.

I am married and mother of 2, living on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.

In 2008 I started my own business, PA On-the-Go, which provides Personal Assistant/ Administrative services on a hourly basis or with one off projects like PowerPoint presentations or setting up a database in Outlook, Excel, Access or Maximiser.

My background is a Diploma in Marketing and Management which I utilise in creating clever marketing material e.g. flyers, invitations etc.

For the past 5 years I’ve been a Personal Assistant for a management consultancy where my main duties were liaising with clients over the phone and face-to-face, filing/ archiving, diary management, creating PowerPoint presentations, office management, updating the website, organising PAYG, preparing data for BAS etc.

After I had my son I wanted more flexibility with my work. I was offered a part-time position entering data in MYOB and this gave me the idea of starting up my own business. Since then I’ve been providing clients on the Northern Beaches (Dee Why to Avalon) with my fast and efficient on-the-go service.

My aim is to provide clients with an excellent quality product and efficient service on an hourly basis, so small businesses can delegate their administrative tasks when they need to. No longer do you have to employ a part-time or full-time person and have to worry about other expenses like sick leave, holiday leave, superannuation.

If you have administrative and organising work which needs to be done just call me and I can take care of it quickly and thoroughly at minimal cost. I can come to you or bring your work home with me.

So don’t delay.

Call me now.

My Baby Soles

Do you hate loosing another sock that has fallen off, or busy little fingers that have slipped it off whilst you werent noticing?

That has happened to me dozens of times!

What about having an early walker who had no shoes to wear because their feet were too small and narrow to fit into the prewalkers currently on the market without them slipping off!

That has also happened to me!

At My Baby Soles we have the solution to these problems. Soft soled baby leather shoes, with an elastic ankle band! Its the perfect answer!

All our soft soled baby shoes are made from 100% non-toxic leather which means that little toes can still grip the ground whilst learning to walk, which is very important otherwise they loose their balance if they cant grip with them. It also means that, as the little bones in babies feet are delicate and soft there is no chance that a hard bulky shoe is going to damage growing feet. Our soft baby leather shoes are just like wearing no shoes at all whilst protecting those delicate feet in conditions where it isn't possible to wear no shoes while learning to walk or balance. eg in summer: outside on concrete, in winter: its too cold outside and other conditions where you just want a matching shoe for a great outfit!

All our soft soled baby leather shoes have unique and fun designs making them attractive not only for the child, but for all others who look at them.

Come take a look at our products and see what interests you.

Happy shopping!

Lutrov Interactive

I'm Ivan Lutrov and I'm the owner of Lutrov Interactive, a small independent web consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia.

I specialise in making simple, yet highly usable websites, and provide practical online marketing for small businesses who recognise a need for an effective online presence.

I excel at helping business owners and entrepreneurs to build, manage and grow their online business by teaching them how to get the most from current web technologies.

Why hire me?

•I'm independent of large corporations and web design companies so I'll always use the most appropriate technologies, instead of flogging you something to maximise my own profits.

•I listen to you and your unique business challenges and requirements.

•I build websites which busy small business owners like you can easily and painlessly manage yourself.

•I don't outsource to cheap overseas sweatshops, because I dislike inferior results which stem from communication difficulties and cultural differences as much as you do.

•I offer a complete service package, including hosting, reporting and online marketing.

•I use web standards to ensure your website is usable and accessible by all of your customers.

•I understand the importance of simplicity in design and my goal is not to impress you, but to help your customers get things done quickly and effortlessly.

•I'm a friendly, approachable and seasoned professional with over 10 years experience in building websites and internet business systems.

•I won't rip you off with dodgy online marketing tactics just so you can briefly see your website ranked on the first page of Google for a couple of useless keywords.

•I treat you as a human being and a business partner, not a project number or a cash cow.

•I speak like normal people in a language you can understand, including the occasional swear word thrown in for good measure, when required.

Why did I choose "Lutrov Interactive" as my business name?

1.You deal with me directly. There is no call centre here. Nor are there any junior designers, web developers or "rookies learning the ropes" while working on your website.

2.I build interactive business websites. No fancy, gimmicky stuff. Just websites which provide the answers your customers expect every time they connect with you.

WeePantz

WeePantz is a home based Modern Cloth Nappy Business located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, run by Work At Home Mum "WAHM" Amy Grant.

WeePantz was started in February of 2008 after product testing of 5 months with Amy's two small children. When Amy realised that her nappies worked really well by comparison to other bigger brands, she decided to start selling them on a few of the Australian Auction sites.

In April of 2008 weepantz.com was born, a place for Amy to sell her nappies and advocate the use of Cloth nappies over disposables. It was also in April of 2008 that WeePantz began regularly attending small markets around the Western Suburbs.

WeePantz has grown alot in its first year, changing from Hemp to Bamboo as the absorbent material, beginning the production of designer nappies made from minkee, denim and other various materials making WeePantz stand out from other companies in terms of creativity and individuality of product. Baby clothing has also been added to the WeePantz range recently and now the WeePantz shop boasts gorgeous kiddie couture.

Ingress Online

Hi I'm Trish Gorring a corporate cubicle expat and founded Ingress Online in 2006.

Working for large corporations, I became removed from the coalface of web site design and development and needed to get back to basics and make quality, simple, clean web sites that work.

I have more than 11 years' commercial web site design/development experience in Australia and the UK and have been involved in the delivery of some of the largest and most popular high profile web sites in the world.

Ingress Online does NOT outsource to overseas developers and does not use OpenSource software, I build all my sites in Australia using software from a Melbourne based company. It is not that I am supporting the Australian economy, I believe we have the best software and support and have chosen to use the best.

My passion is to demystify the web and make simple-to-use and easy-to-update websites so business owners can update their site themselves, saving them time and money by not having to wait for a technical person, giving them total control over their website content.

This means you save money by not having to pay a web developer to make content changes and reduce customer (internal and external) dissatisfaction and potential legal issues created by having incorrect information displayed on the site.

What makes me different, apart from the personal service, common sense and responsiveness to my clients, is that I always think about the user and how they can get the most out of each site. Sometimes the latest fashion on the Internet is not the best thing to put on your homepage.

I am dedicated to each project that is delivered and will put in the extra work to see the project complete, quickly and painlessly. This last point I cannot stress enough. I hear many of my clients mention how much easier it is to work with me rather that other developers because I take away the pain of developing websites.

I truly make it easy for website owners to get the site they want and the power to update it themselves.

The Pink Book Club

The PBC is an initiative of Dot Consulting. Which provides ‘you’ time opportunities for women.

We are built up of a growing number of everyday women who share experiences, knowledge, skills support and lots of fun and laughter.

The Pink Book Club began in 2002 when Nicola Weaver (founder), was going through a difficult time in her life.

Following the death of her mother in June 2002, Nicola returned to Australia in November 2002 leaving her fiancé in the UK.

Living in a hotel room, her belongings in storage, coping with the loss of her mother and separation from her family and her future husband being on the other side of the world, life was pretty difficult.

While standing in an Australia Post office queue, Nicola spotted a pink spiral bound book and bought it. In this book, she wrote her thoughts, feelings, plans and often lists (including shopping), and used the book for reflection to help put things into perspective. This provided her with support of a kind, where she did not need to explain why she felt certain thoughts, and found safety in not sharing with others, things that may have come out ‘wrong’ if verbalised. Looking back over entries in the book in days/weeks after, she often reflected on how she coped with past events. It was not a journal of sorts; it was purely there for occasions when she needed to make sense of what was what.

Some 12 months later, a friend of Nicola’s, Claire was also at a crossroads with some employment decisions and other events happening in her life, so Nicola issued her with a Pink Book to again put things into perspective. Claire found the Pink Book so useful she asked Nicola if she could initiate her sister and provide her with a Pink Book and so the seed was planted and numerous Pink Books have been issued thereafter.

In 2007 Nicola was a participant of the Catherine McAuley award. This experience provided her with a unique personal growth opportunity which amongst other things provided her with the network and confidence to start her own business in people development and realise the opportunity for a women’s only development forum. Quote ‘We often have development opportunities within our own industries, networks, and sporting clubs but rarely do we have the opportunity to ‘connect’ with women from a cross section of our communities.’

The Pink Book Club is keen to provide these connections that are both corporate and non corporate in order to maximise our exposure to different people, with different skills, backgrounds and cultures.

Nicola has learnt so much from other people and her own experiences and wants to provide these opportunities for others.

The Pink Book Club will offer various fun, development and connecting workshops and other activities for women to have a bit of ‘me’ time.

Going forward The Pink Book Club will be involved with women’s charities and community projects to utilise the skills, experience and connections formed.
